Breaking Photoshop

While studying at NCSU, I was introduced to the writings of New Media theorist Lev Manovich. Inspired by his ideas, I decided to explore the software itself rather than approach it as a means to an end. The compositions on this page were all created using only Adobe Photoshop with the goal of doing the craziest things I could think of. Essentially, I was trying to “break” Photoshop to gain a better understanding of its capabilities as a medium of expression.
