PS Doors Product Line

Illustration & Interactive Design

PS Doors, a manufacturing company in Grand Forks, ND, was having trouble showcasing their entire complex product line in a clear and concise way. After determining that the task would be impossible to solve with traditional photography, Anchor Marketing proposed an illustrated solution and brought me onto the project to design and produce three illustrated scenes that demonstrate each of the company’s three business segment offerings. Shown here are my design process sketches, which we used as a stepping stone in the approval process, and the final isometric vector illustrations. This was a great project and epitomizes the value of illustration in design and commerce.

The second part of this project included turning these drawings into interactive header images on the company’s new website that we at Code Roadies were simultaneously creating. By collaborating with the lead developer, he and I were able to realize the fully interactive CSS3 animated SVG illustrations that are resolution independent, responsive, and work across all major browsers. The project was a great success, and the site won a 2017 Graphic Design USA American Web Design award.
